I. Introduction of the Institute
Currently the Institute of Precision Forming for High-Performance has 2 professors and 3 associate professors/research fellows, among whom are one chair professor of the Changjiang Scholar Incentive Program and one title-earner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Engaged in the long-term study of basic theory, key technology, process and equipment of fluid pressure forming, the Institute not only pays attention to basic research but also has strong engineering application ability.
Ⅱ. Research Activities
The Institute has undertaken a number of national key scientific research projects and horizontal projects, whose research results have been widely used in aviation, aerospace, automotive and other fields. The Institute has the first prize of Liaoning Provincial Technical Invention Award and Gold Award of the China Patent Award with more than 100 national invention patents and 2 international patents. The Institute also published more than 200 academic papers and set 3 national standards.
Ⅲ. Research Interest
The institute is mainly engaged in the research of precision forming technologies for components with complex geometries and thin walls, including: (1)Research of ultra-low temperature: forming theory and technology of large-scale thin-walled integral components; (2)Research of ultra-high temperature direction: thermal forming theory and technology of heat-resistant thin-wall components; (3) Research of plastic theory: plastic deformation theory of strong anisotropic thin shells.
